Quirk Name: Distortion
Quirk Description: The user is able to distort the space around him or others to bend the direction of the attack. A translucent pink wall that is the ‘distortion area’, where the attack is bent and distorted to change its direction. If the attack is strong enough, the area becomes unstable and breaks. Organic materials or extremely large object can not be distorted. Rantaro is also capable of distorting the space of one small area for a short amount of time (Although it will revert back to normal once the distortion area is off).

Although not very experienced in using his quirk for offense, Rantaro has the ability crush or slice an area via distortion, although it requires higher concentration in comparison to his distortion wall.

Quirk Class: Defense as main, but it can also be used as offence, although Rantaro isn’t experienced using it for offence.

Ability 1: SPATIAL WALL - Rantaro creates a distortion wall that is able to bend directions of long range attacks involving a force without physical mass (Laser, fire, etc) or small objects with mass. Organic materials can pass through the distortion with no problem, while strong enough attacks are able to break through the distortion. He is able to redirect only one attack at a time, and the distortion can resist up to 3 average attack’s hit max, before it fades or risks breaking by itself. He is able to use it to protect himself, or someone else who’s close to him. If the distortion wall is broken, Rantaro will receive physical pain, the most common is headaches. Rantaro is able to hold up his wall for 1 minute (Without any attacks hitting him), before the distortion becomes unstable and breaks by itself.

Ability 2: AREA DISTORTION - Rantaro concentrates a distortion in a small area and traps it inside a square box. The space inside the area will be distorted: sky at the ground, people walking upside-down, 90 degrees, etc for a short amount of time. The longer this area stays, Rantaro will start receiving headaches. Additionally, he is unable to control the distortion if he isn’t inside. The bigger the area, the harder it i to control, and the headache will arrive more quickly. The maximum diameter he is able to do for the longest time (5 min) is 3 meters. Once the box wears off, the area goes back normal.

Ability 3: SLICER - Rantaro releases a strong cut of distortion to an area, that serves as a blade for the non-living. To people in the way of his spatial slicing, the cut will feel like a strong force that will push them back. If Rantaro uses this ability continuously, his hand or feet pain will increase (Whichever he uses to ‘slice’) and it may take a few days for the pain to die down. The slicer can not cut hard objects such as rocks, metals, and concrete. The most it can do is give a deep scratch dent on a tree log without cutting it.

Ability 4: CRUSHER - Rantaro concentrates a spatial distortion on a small object or area to crush it down with spacial pressure. To people, the crusher will be a force similar to the slicer that will push them back/down.  He is prone to hand or feet aches and cramps, depending on the strength and size of the crush he makes.

Quirk Drawbacks: Rantaro is prone to headaches and dizziness if he uses his quirk too continuously or for a long period of time. Rantaro is unable to control the direction the attack bends, thus making it unpredictable for the user himself. Additionally, strong attacks are harder, more time consuming to bend. When going for the offense, he is vulnerable to possible hand and feet cramps as a result of concentrating too much distortion before releasing it. He is unable to use multiple abilities at the same time without risking massive headache that may lead to fainting.

Strengths:

• “Spy”: To his distaste, Rantaro has a presence that is very often overlooked. However, thanks to this, he as been able to sneak through people with minimum trouble, and has a good ability of eavesdropping others.

• High pain tolerance: Due to the nature of this quirk providing pain to the user, Rantaro has learned to overcome physical pain to an extent, although he would not push his limits to risk fainting or worsening his health.

• Determined/Hard working: What moves Rantaro forward is his determination to succeed and become a hero. It is what keeps him continuing and persevering tasks he’s not fond of, because otherwise, he would be quitting immediately. He doesn’t lose his hope very quickly, and very often uses his jealousy to improve himself and surpass his ‘opponents’.

Weaknesses:

• Uncooperative: Not the most cooperative person, Rantaro is someone who prefers to move according to what he believes is good. Because he’s quite selfish and rebellious, he has a hard time listening to orders if he believes there is a better way. This may lead him to trouble, or slow the group down with arguments.

• Lack of Stamina: Rantaro doesn’t have the best ammount of stamina, mainly because he didn’t trained his muscles to last long working. Therefore, despite his physical strength, he isn’t able to last long in a melee combat, as he will run out of energy.

• Weak stomach: Rantaro is prone to getting sick through motion sickness or if he’s not stable on ground. This is one of his main reason why he dislikes using his area distortion, as it’s willingly putting him at a disadvantage. He also requires time for recoveries from long rides due to this.

Rantaro’s intelligence is rather average. He doesn't have issues with problem solving and academic, but isn’t in the level of knowing everything. In fact, he prefers to stay ignorant in some aspects.

Although Rantaro prefers to stay at one place, he is surprisingly quick when it comes to short spurts of running, especially if his survival instincts triggers him to do so.

Knowing his quirk’s drawbacks, Rantaro has trained his arm and leg muscle strength in order to not be completely powerless. He is able to throw a strong punch or kick, but he only resorts to melee if running away isn't an option.

Rantaro has a quiet, ghostly presence unless he speaks up for attention. This makes him get ignored easily, but thanks to this, he was able to sneak into places without other noticing. He would still prefer to be noticed though..

Rantaro’s stamina is rather bad; he is easily tired, as his muscles are not trained to last long, but for short period of time for quick use. Therefore, despite his decent strength and speed, his stamina limits him from performing to his fullest potential.

Since finding out about his quirk, Rantaro took his time to learn about it; it's capabilities, drawbacks, etc. Therefore, he is able to use his quirk rather efficiently and for a longer time to minimize the headaches. However, he has only mastered the defense side of his quirk, and is still learning the offense capabilities.

Generally, Rantaro is an amiable kid with a calm demeanor. He's quite approachable for strangers, and is very welcoming to talk to new people. As an extrovert, Rantaro is a people person; he enjoys other’s company and attention, and feels uneasy if he’s left alone.

Rantaro is someone who’s extremely dedicated in his tasks, whether it is school work, part time job, or even friendship. Part of the reason why is because he’s extremely ambitious for success, in order to get approved and praised by others. His selfishness also extends to the point of him not wanting to share his favorite food, or share his friends. In fact, he is easily envious of those who gets close to his friends. Because he is very competitive, Rantaro thinks of life as a competition and others are his ‘opponents’, depending on the situation. He takes losing quite badly, to the point of seeming immature. He is prone to crying in frustration or trash talking others impulsively. However, he isn’t someone to hold grudges for a long time, and is rather forgiving of people, although he wouldn’t openly express it. (There are exceptions for this, but it is rare). Rantaro's competitiveness can go as far as him using any meathod possible to surpass others.

When he’s around people he’s comfortable with, Rantaro becomes more mischievous, and frequently teases his friends as a friendly gesture, although this causes for others to be offended without him realizing.Sometimes, he is seen pranking others. Additionally, he has never been an honest person. If he believes that lying is an advantage in the given situation, he will lie without hesitation. He also has a hard time admitting gratitude to someone else, but on the inside, he’s truly grateful if he received help. Rantaro is a person who pretends to be childish, naive, and respectful in order to show a decent impression to strangers. However, he is prone to snap and go passive aggressive to those that annoyed him.

Despite his bad traits, Rantaro truly cares about those he is close to, and would do anything to help them out if they’re in need of his help. At times, Rantaro can get quite nosy and shift his attention to other’s business, whether it is because he’s concerned about someone, or due to jealousy. Being quite intuitive, Rantaro is able to sense if something is wrong with someone, or if he’s in a dangerous situation. This often helps him stay out of trouble for the most part, or at least be mentally prepared for it.

Likes:

• Attention: Because he was often overshadowed by his brother, Rantaro enjoys it when others give him compliments, questions, or generally talk to him.

• Cheesecake: His favorite dessert. Rantaro’s favorite cheesecake if his mother’s special cheesecake.

• Photography: One of Rantaro’s main hobbies. Rantaro enjoys taking pictures of scenery, but specifically flowers and other plants.

• Flowers: His family (specifically his mother) runs a flower shop. Therefore, Rantaro has a lot of knowledge about flower arrangements, and flower species. Because the flowers remind him of his mother, he enjoys looking at them.

• Ladybugs: It’s his lucky symbol. He wears a ladybug necklace whenever something important is happening, to grant him good luck

Dislikes:

• Long rides: Rantaro has motion sickness. Therefore, he is prone to getting sick if he’s in a car, train, airplane, etc. for too long.

• Roller coasters: Also related to his motion sickness, roller coasters are what makes Rantaro feel sick extremely quickly. Because of this, he avoids riding them.

• Being overshadowed: Rantaro extremely disliked being the ‘shadow’ of his brother, frequently being compared to him

• His brother: Rantaro has a brother complex with his older brother Tsubasa due to him being compared to him a lot, and also because his brother ‘discouraged’ him from being a hero.

• High places: Although he doesn’t have a fear of height, Rantaro feels dizzy when looking down from a high building for too long.
